Black Mirror Writers Chat GPTThe anthology itself is based on the ideas of a near-dystopian society. Where machines are not only there to help us but they are intertwined with our life to such an extent that we have to fight them. From ‘Be Right Back’ to ‘The Entire History of You’, us fighting technology is living at its core.

At this very moment, we are living at the zenith of technology and it’s destined to go up. There is AI that will revolutionize the complete system. And what’s better than Chat GPT, though the whole experience is fantastic, it’s not the perfect one. So, like all of us, the makers of Black Mirror tried the AI tool and it wasn’t a good overall experience.

Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker took the opportunity to prompt it to write an episode. “I’ve toyed around with ChatGPT a bit,” Brooker told Empire. “The first thing I did was type ‘generate Black Mirror episode’ and it comes up with something that, at first glance, reads plausibly, but on second glance, is sh*t.”

Brooker later added, “Because all it’s done is look up all the synopsis of Black Mirror episodes, and sort of mush them together. Then if you dig a bit more deeply you go, ‘Oh, there’s not actually any real original thought here.’ It’s [1970s impressionist] Mike Yarwood — there’s a topical reference.”

So ya, those who were curious about if an AI can replace a writer, We have an answer. They can’t. Human creativity is never replaceable and without sufficient and exact prompts, most AI tools will crumble.

Season 6 of Black Mirror will stream on Netflix from 15th June. With a vast and phenomenal cast, this season is going to be the one to remember. The excitement for all six episodes is off the charts and is destined to rule the streaming platform.
