What is “Vikramasimha” about?
Vikrama Simha is a fable like folk story about the rivalry between two kingdom’s and how a warrior soldier cum commander wins over the people by his sheer bravery and dedication to people.
How is the performance capture and Rajini performance?
One must appreciate for using a new technology such as motion capture but one must also look at the final result at hand. The motion capture of Rajinikanth is decent at best and fails to capture the stylishness and charisma of the star that Rajinikanth is. Dubbing for the character is perfect and the dialogues given sure elevates the character but that’s about it.
Direction by Soundarya Rajinikanth?
Debutant director Soundarya is a failure in most aspects. One she fails to use the technology perfectly and second is she fails to get the right emotions out of the story which had the scope for a great folk drama.
Deepika Padukone and Other artists performance?
Deepika Padukone is practically unrecognized in the animated avatar. So are the other characters that appear through out the film. If one didn’t have a prior knowledge regarding the actors of the film one would find it hard to recognize them on screen.
How is AR Rahman’s Music and Visual Effect?
Rahman is the biggest positive of the film by far. He breathes whatever the little life the film has through his background score. Special effects are tacky most of the times. Cinematography follows a standard template that is seen in films of these kind. Editing is poor and the visuals jar whenever there is fast moment. 3D is complete useless.

The film has opened with very little buzz. Poor visual effects and non engaging screenplay is sure to go against the film at box office. Whatever the collections the film gets in Telugu can be attributed to one and only Superstar Rajinikanth.
