What is “Alludu Seenu” about?
How Alludu Sreenu clears off the bad name of his father-in-law and restores his reputation. In the process of doing all this how he wins over his love is the overall storyline of the film.
How is Srinivas performance?
Without beating around the bush let’s get straight to the point. Bellamkonda Srinivas can not act to save his life. He is an utterly expressionless actor. However he does have a physicality which combined with few dance moments and neatly executed fights lends a presence that is useful on this terrain. This is the only positive that can be said as of now.
Direction by V.V.Vinayak?
VV Vinayak has long ceased to be an interesting director. All he does now is execute a routine predictable masala fare with good dose of comedy. In Alludu Sreenu he sticks to this formula and keeps the narrative mostly engaging despite the predictable plot. However despite his best efforts the banality of the script does surface and makes the proceeding lifeless in parts which is the downfall of the film. To give credit where its due though, his movies still have the clean comedy going on and it is a plus that can’t be overlooked.
How is Samantha and other artists performance?
Samantha gets to play the typical glamorous heroine with lots of oomph. She doesn’t disappoint on any count as she looks million bucks in the film. Prakash Raj once again gets a predictable role that he makes interesting with his subtle variations. But at this point even that seems stale at many points. The biggest highlight of the film like it has been with many films in past few years is Brahmanandam. His Dimple act is spot on and is funny mostly. At few occasions the script let’s him down despite the best effort from the actor. Besides there are a host of comic actors like Vennela Kishore, Raghubabu, Venu etc and they all do their jobs well. Pradeep Rawat, Tanikella Bharani are wasted.
How is Devi Sri Prasad’s Music and other departments ?
Music by Devi Sri Prasad has gained popularity post the audio release and it’s presentation in the film accentuates its effect in a positive way. Background Score is a big letdown. Cinematography is good and gives the film a rich look if the grand production values already doesn’t do the same. Editing as usual could have been better.

What about the box office performance of the film?
The film thanks to the massive promotion has had decent openings. While the A centers might be apprehensive to be on board due to the sheer routine-ness of the subject, the smaller centers might not have such problem. Lack of any big film in recent past is a major drive for the audience along with the brand of VV Vinayak.
Did I enjoy it?
Yes in large parts.
Will you recommend it?
Yes if watching a routine entertainer is not a problem.
