Pressure Cooker Telugu Movie ReviewWhat Is the Film About?
Kishore (Sai Ronak) is hardwired in his brain from childhood that he has to go to the US, become rich and settle there, if possible, by his dad. Unfortunately, he is not able to get the visa for one reason or the other. Did he finally fulfil his father’s dream and what happens, in the end, is what the movie is all about?

Additional to the core plot is the track involving an old couple with two sons in the US, and a love story. How their presence impacts Kishore’s (Sai Ronak) life gives a complete picture.

How Is Ronak’s Performance?
The main lead Sai Ronak has been around for a while. He has done a few small films either in the supporting role capacity or the hero. Pressure Cooker is another addition to the list. When one watches the movie, it is easy to understand why he has been on the fringes. Sai Ronak is listless, and lackluster with no screen presence. He is tall and looks decent, but the timing and acting skills required to generate an impact are missing.

Pressure Cooker Telugu Movie ReviewDirection by Sujoi & Susheel?
Sujoi and Sushil are the directors of the movie Pressure Cooker. The basic theme picked for the movie is a very outdated one. Still, that is not an issue as even the dated ones could be presented with the latest inputs.

Unfortunately, Pressure Cooker director duo fails to bring that modernity to the story. It is the same old subject presented with the ‘same-old’ clichés. And it is made with a short-film quality and appeal. It would have been fine on that space, but for a big-screen outing, it falls short on several scores.

The first half of the movie is a real snooze fest with nothing really happening. The fun angle doesn’t work barring the occasional one-liner quips. The different problems are also handled in a non-serious manner and executed poorly.

The second half is better in comparison. It offers some drama, no matter how predictable. Nothing is surprising in the end result, though. It further dampens the mood and feel of the film if at all there was one, to begin with.

The bromance between the three male actors is neatly done. And it is the only bring spot in the entire exercise. That they didn’t do any substantial or impactful, is the failure at the story level itself.

Overall, Pressure Cooker offers absolutely nothing. If you have seen the trailer and know the premise you know basically everything. If not for the promotional song, Pressure Cooker would have never existed in anyone’s memory.

Pressure Cooker Telugu Movie ReviewPreethi Asrani and Others?
Preethi Asrani playing the female lead comes across as a perfect match to Sai Ronak. Both have the same listless quality. They have no chemistry or even an iota of spark between them. Rahul Ramakrishna and Rajai Rowan play the friends to the main lead. They have the chemistry which is missing between the lead pair. Rahul Ramakrishna easily dominates the other two as it is a walk in the park for him.

Tanikella Bharani and Sita are the senior artists in the movie. They bring their experience into play and offer some emotional depth to the flat and uninteresting narrative. CVL Narasimha Rao has a very repetitive character, which gets tiring after some time. Ravi Varma and Kiriti appear briefly adding their bits to the overall predictability. The rest are forgetful.

Pressure Cooker Telugu Movie ReviewMusic and Other Departments?
The music for the movie is given by multiple composers, namely Sunil Kashyap, Rahul Sipligunj, Smaran and Harshvardhan Rameshwar. Clearly, an effort has been put on the music, and it shows. One of the songs, as everyone knows, is a big success and managed to draw attention. If only similar work were done on the script. The cinematography is ordinary. It gives the short-film vibe to the proceedings. The editing is alright. The writing is below par and lacks depth.

Pressure Cooker Telugu Movie ReviewAlternative Take
We have had a movie called London Babulu that came out a few years ago with a similar theme. Not that the movie was any great shakes (it suffered from weak casting and direction), but it at least had a story to tell.
