What is the film about?
Arjun Ramakrishna is after Devi (Tamannah) for love. After few tests, her brother agrees to Arjun as a lover. But when everything is going right Arjun throws a surprise that disturbs all equation. What is the shock he gives and why Arjun takes that decision is what the film is all about?
How is Vishal’s performance?
Vishal is good generally but here he just sleeps walks for the most part. It is only towards the end when things take a serious turn that he shows his acting side. Otherwise, he is just happy doing dancing and jollying around.
Direction By Suraj?
Suraj is known for making all out commercial entertainer. They are usually no holds barred one. Okkadochadu is a similar movie. Only here the story is very simple and comes into play now and then. His compulsion to have “entertainment” kills the interest in the basic story of the movie.
The movie begins on an interesting note but once the romantic track starts all the interest is lost. There is nothing happening basically. The film gains momentum towards the interval when some twists are revealed. In the second half once again the narrative loses track when the comedy is introduced again with another silly and illogical twist. These turns should lead to some excitement but what happens is exactly opposite. Barring a small pre-climax portion, everything else is a practically waste of time.
Tamanna and others?
Tamannah is just a prop in the movie. She appears in first half till a point after that she is literally absent. Even in that part, she adds nothing to the main story. Nothing is there from her dance and glamor wise too. Jagapathi Babu too is seen in a role that lacks any zing. Comedians Soori and Vadivel on a comeback over act and irritate. The rest of the cast is immaterial.
Music and other departments?
Music by Hiphop Tamizha is okay. The background score especially towards the end is good. The cinematography is plain. Editing is okay.
