AadiWhat is the film Next Nuvve about?
Kiran (Aadi) must get his resort business work to pay off the debt of JP (Jayaprakash Reddy). However, strange things happen at his resort that makes police suspicious of him. Is the hotel haunted? How Kiran (Aadi) finds the real issue and finally escapes from it is what the film is all about?

How is Aadi’s performance?
Aadi could very well have been a weak link in the overall proceedings. However, he manages to hold as he works well in few scenes and only someone of his age could be well suited for it. Overall, again there is nothing outstanding performance wise.

Prabhakar PodakandlaDirection By Prabhakar Podakandla?
Prabhakar is yet another Television import making big screen debut as a director. Incidentally, he also chose a horror comedy. Luckily for Prabhakar, the film is a remake which means a strong and proven content is in hand. All he has to do is customize it well for the Telugu audience, and he does that well.

Within the over done horror-comedy genre, the story here is fresh, and the set up allows for some difference. While those differences bring something new, the director mostly sticks to the tried and tested gags which kind of become predictable after a while. Still, if one is engaged it is purely due to the performance of the character actor, in this case, Brahmaji is a shining example.

The overall pace of the film is slightly slow, but it allows the audience to get an immersive feel, a little bit. The first half of the movie is decent with the horror and suspense angle working well. The second half turns tedious post the revelation of the flashback of the ghost. Still, the comedian and scenes make them work. Overall, if one is still not bored of the movies in this genre, and its repetetiveness Next Nuvve is another one time watch for few genuine moments of laughter.

Vaibhavi ShandilyaVaibhavi Shandilya and others?
There are two female leads Vaibhavi and Rashmi. Among the two, the former gets to play the typical dumb heroine, and the later plays a typical horny one with similar common interest. Between the two, Rashmi effortlessly makes the most impact due to her oomph factor. Apart from them, the real highlight of the film is actor Brahmaji. He steals the show as the movie progresses. There are others like Jayaprakash Reddy, Raghu, Banerjee, Posani Krishna Murali, LB Sreeram, and Srinivas Avasarala but they have limited scope.

Sai KarthikMusic and other departments?
The background score by Sai Kartheek is terrific. The cinematography is ordinary. Editing is neat. Dialogues are fine and punch lands when required.

Frankly, there are too many films at this point with similar stories to even have an alternative take. They all have a common motive and are made with those slight alterations. Maybe its time to give them a break.
