Neevevaro Review, Neevevaro Movie Review, RatingsWhat is the film about?
Kalyan (Aadhi Pinisetty) is a self-dependent blind guy. He is a chef by profession and runs a restaurant. Anu (Ritika Singh) is his childhood neighbour and the parents of Kalyan and Anu agree for their marriage. What happens when Kalyan falls in love with Vennela (Tapsee) and comes to know that her life is in danger?

How is Aadhi Pinisetty’s performance?
Aadhi Pinisetti has performed sincerely and effectively as one expects from him. Right from the first frame, he makes us believe in his blind act. He is good in action and emotional scenes too. There is an air of predictability in his act when he is outside the blind character. We have seen that before, but the intensity is always there which is how it should be.

Neevevaro Review, Neevevaro Movie Review, RatingsDirection By Hari Nath?
Hari Nath supposedly makes his debut with Neevevaro. He has in his hands solid content that could engage the audience throughout and also make it look like a fresh entertainer.

Sadly, Hari Nath falters big time. The direction and the screenplay are the movie’s biggest weaknesses. The director has not been able to handle the content in an engaging manner. The screenplay mixing humour and suspense is another major letdown and the mix has been disastrously brought on screen.

The first half is weak in plot terms as nothing really happens until the pre-interval mark. It is only towards the interval that things get going. However, when we look at the second half the first half feels more cohesive and better even though there is nothing in it.

The second half of Neevevaro is where all it’s strength lies. But in an attempt to infuse comedy into the narrative, the main track and its seriousness is diluted. There are few punches, surely, but they come at the cost of the film. One feels in the end if all that was necessary. The editing and background score further depletes the proceedings. What the story demands emotionally and what we see on screen and the reactions it generates are at opposite ends of the spectrum. The pre-climax and climax are the biggest casualties in that aspect. There is a total disconnect.

In the end, Neevevaro ends up as a disappointment. It had its moments and there was potential for a solid thriller but an inept direction kills all the interest.

Neevevaro Review, Neevevaro Movie Review, RatingsTaapsee Pannu and others?
Ritika Singh and Tapsee are the heroines in the movie. Both have well-sketched roles and get the scope to perform. Tapsee has the better deal though while the latter has one drunk scene. Coming to Tapsee, she is just okay in a part that could have made her character memorable. She fails to be a badass when it is required. Thulasi overacts, but that is acceptable. Shivaji Raja and Srikanth are fine. Vennela Kishore is okay. He overdoes his part. Sapthagiri is fine. The rest of the cast is decent in their small roles.

Neevevaro Review, Neevevaro Movie Review, RatingsMusic and other departments?
Music is unmemorable. And the way it is used in the narrative makes one wish it was totally done with. The background score feels out of sync. The cinematography is neat, but the editing is bad. Kona Venkat writing needed a different setup and sits badly in this thriller.

Just recently there was RX100, it is not the same thing but operated in a similar space. The way it stuck to its narrative without deviations is what was needed here and that’s an alternative take.

Preview: Neevevaro

After ‘Rangasthalam’, Aadhi Pinishetty has registered as a Telugu actor who has the potential to deliver in intense roles. But, the audiences don’t know his potential if he can pull off a full-fledged hero role or not. He is coming with ‘Neevevaro’ which seems to be coming with good content.

The teaser and the trailer of the movie had been cut perfectly and had enough stuff to create an intrigue. Nevertheless, the buzz on the movie is quite low. The makers tried to suffice it by releasing a comedy trailer to improve the buzz. One thing is clear. The movie desperately needs good word of mouth right from the opening shows.

If the movie delivers as expected, this will add to Aadhi’s credibility and be one of those first movies that would be deciding his career in Tollywood. It’s up to director Harinath and writer Kona Venkat if they really came up with an engaging story and screenplay.

The rest, i.e., the lead cast aka Taapsee Pannu, Rithika Singh, Vennela Kishore and others will be helpful only if the movie has some good content, as promising as the teaser and the trailer. Stay tuned and keep watching this space for ‘Neevevaro’ review from M9News team. We’ll be back soon.
