sachin-joshi
What is the film about?
Neejathaga Nenundali is a simple and uncomplicated love story between a popular but has been singer Raghav and a rising singing sensation Gayatri. They are madly in love with each other. How the love story ends when one is on the path of self destruction is what the film is all about.

How is Sachin’s performance?
Sachin is totally unfit for the character of a rock star. Despite his best efforts he can’t hide the smugness that is visible in his face. It is a major distraction and doesn’t allow one to really connect with him at any point. Add to it the dubbing which makes matter even worse.

jaya-ravindra
Direction By Jaya Ravindra?
The director Jaya Ravindra is making his debut with the film. As we all know this is a remake, the director has remained cent percent faithful to the original and simply replicated it. Unfortunately he couldn’t recreate the same emotions from the original mainly because of the main leads he has at his disposal.

Nazia-Hussain
Nazia Hussain and others performance?
Nazia Hussain is a perfect match to the hero. This doesn’t mean they have chemistry, it simply means that a non actor has another non actor as pair. Together they ruin all the little moments that were so crucial for the film to work. Shashank is seen in a decent role after a long time and he does well even in his limited appearance. He along with Rao Ramesh are the two characters that give the feel of watching a Telugu film. The rest of the characters are pretty small one and don’t create any impact.

mithoon sharma
Music and other departments?
This is one of those remakes where even music has been used as it is without any change. Not just the music even the background score has been used ditto in the film from the original .Cinematography is pretty good in patches. At times its so poor too. Dialogues are poor as they have been just rewritten mostly which also effects the enjoyment of the film. It gives us the feel of watching a dubbed film.

Alternative take:
The film even if one sees the original had a pretty predictable plot. It relied heavily on lead chemistry and dialogues along with music. They all came together wonderfully well in the original to create a magic that connected big time with the audience. The problem is magic happens only once and it can’t be recreated again. Even the original makers would find it difficult to recreate a similar magic with similar set up. In short films like these should be left alone. Still if one wishes to remake at least there should be good actors in it who are capable to act and a possibility of chemistry could be expected. Sadly that’s not the case here.

Did I enjoy it?
No, because of the original in mind.

Will you recommend it?
Yes with reservation, if you haven’t seen original.
No, if you have.
