Balakrishna Lion ReviewWhat is the film about?
Who is Bose (Balakrishna)? Who is Godse (Balakrishna)? What is the flashback and how it all ends is what the film is all about.

How is Balakrishna’s performance?
Nandamuri Balakrishna once again gets to do characters with multiple shades. For a change he tries to act subtly for a good part of the film but bad styling undoes it.In the larger than life part he overacts and ruins the effect. There are few moments which are good but that is a minimum thing that he delivers. Costumes and make up surely are something that needs to be taken care off for the star to look appealing. He plays son to certain actors in the film and the way Balakrishna looks it is pretty hard to believe it.

Satyadeva Lion ReviewDirection By Satya Deva?
Satyadev may be a debutant at a very late age and might come from a old school background but he has a subject that is contemporary. Unfortunately he is let down by screenplay that fails to enthuse any momentum into the narrative. It is dull and boring, add to it the plot than hinges on confusion things overall become very muddle.

First half of the film is very poor with bad make up and screenplay which makes the second half feel better in comparison. This too lasts for only few sequences and narrative stops making sense and runs out of meat after a point. Overall this is a poor debut.

Trisha Lion ReviewTrisha, Radhika Apte and others performance?
Apart from Balakrishna there are very few characters of importance in the film. Trisha and Radhika Apte are wasted for songs and have nothing else to do. Prakash Raj plays a typical villain kind of like walking in the park. Others like Ali, Geetha, Jayasudha, Chandra Mohan, Kota Srinivas Rao etc are present merely as added attractions.

Manisharma Lion ReviewMusic and other departments?
Music by Mani Sharma is decent but as one would expect of him he makes up with his background score. Cinematography is alright considering it’s a big hero film. Editing is poor. Choreography of songs is standard fare.

Highlights Lion ReviewHighlights?
Basic plot.
Interval sequence.
Few scenes post interval.

Drawbacks?
Clumsy screenplay.
Pre climax and climax.
Poor costumes and make up.

Drawbacks Lion ReviewAlternative take:
The basic plot idea of the film is fine and the director took the right way to narrate the film. It’s the narrative lacking any excitement that is the problem. In both the halves proper build up to the main sequences would have helped the film big time.

Did I enjoy it?
No.

Will you recommend it?
