What is “Laddu Babu” about?
Laddubabu wants to marry a girl of his dream where as his father wants him to get married to anyone not caring for his sensibilities at all. All he cares about is the property that can be inherited if his son gets married and pay off his debts. Meanwhile there is a kid Murthy who wants to be friend of Laddubabu and a girl Laddubabu wants to love. Why the kid does what he does and what happens to the girl he loves in the end is what the film is all about.
How is Allari Naresh’s performance?
Allari Nraesh does what he does usually only this time in a fat guy get up. The actor in Allari Naresh is not really utilized here apart from the get up.
Direction by Ravi Babu?
Laddu Babu can easily be put among the weakest efforts of director Ravi Babu. Apart from his trademark insults and dramatic climax everything else appears pretty flat and predictable. Even the climax is contrived but thanks to the lackluster proceedings before it the climax appears better at least on the surface level.
Other artists performance?
Bhumika is a welcome presence in the film. She lends great dignity to her character despite its short duration and limited impact on the overall story arc. Maaya (Poorna) is alright and is used limitedly as per the demands of the story at hand. The kid playing Murthy is good eventually despite the fake and annoying character he has got. Kota Srinivas Rao is plays a character that is typically seen in the directors film and he is good as usual. There are a number of other small bits and pieces role played by different actors but none manage to create an impact.
How is Chakri’s Music and others?
Music by Chakri feels so old and dated. Background music is good in parts though. Cinematography is similarly good in patches but overall below par. Choreography of songs bears the mark of the director and is fine. Editing is decent.

What about the box office performance of the film?
The film has no buzz and the openings have been poor. Looking at the content the film has very little chance to make it big at the box office. It would be nothing short of a miracle if the film becomes a success.
