What is ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ about?
Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum is the story of an young lad B.Tech Babu who is the grandson of Subrahmanyam (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a legendary theater actor of the famous Surabhi group. He however is not at all interested in acting and wanted to fly to US. Subrahmanyam tries to disuade him from the idead and requests him to perform one last drama titled ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ at the Bellary Natakotsavam. And in Bellary, B.Tech Babu discovers his horriful past linked with mining mafia King Redappa and the rest of the story is all about how good triumphs over evil.
Rana in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum

How did Rana do?
Made his debut as Daggubati scion, Rana did not make a remarkable mark as hero. But he had shown remarkable improvisation this time in all the aspects. He had put considerable effort in dialogue delivery. And all his efforts have paid off.

How is Krish’s direction?
Krish is one of the very few directors in current generation who makes sensible thought provoking movies. The way the story is narrated by Krish is just amazing and any word above that will go to him. No lag in script and that is one sign of a classy movie maker. Kudos to him! Krish was earlier an editor before wielding the megaphone, looks like his previous experience had helped him very much.

How is Nayantara?
Nayantara had very brief role in the movie but she had done good justice to the role in the movie. She should be appreciated for the efforts put in for dubbing in her own voice.
Nayanatara in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum
What about the comedy and other actors?
Comedy is one department Krish usually lags behind. This movie is no different. Comedy should have been better. Brahmanandam and Raghu Babu are good.

How is Music, Songs and Dances?
The Back ground music in the movie is simply mindblowing and awesome. Mani Sharma had shown his viswaroopam in all the important scenes and the rerecording had enhanced the flavour of the movie and intensifies the scene. However, the songs are a bit let down. The songs usually comes at wrong time and disturbs the flow of the movie. Dances are alright.

How is the Cinematography?
The movie has several lush green locations in the movie which are very refreshing to watch. Several scenes in the second half had the dusty orange tint which enhanced the feel of crime, deceit.

What are the highlights?
Rana Daggubati gave career best Performance
Mani Sharma’s background score
Racy second half
Nayanatara looks good in the movie
Director Krish Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum
Any Drawbacks?
Slow Narration
Dragging scenes in the first half
Few drama sequences
Slow second half and Pre Climax Episode must have been better.

What about its box office prospects?
It is always tough to predict the BO prospects of a Krish directorial. This movie is no different. We will have to see how masses lap this one?

Did I enjoy it?
