Kobbari Matta Review, Kobbari Matta Movie Review RatingsWhat Is the Film About?
Kobbari Matta is the story of three generations of Rayudu’s played by Sampoornesh Babu. How each Rayudu makes fun of clichés around the village-based dramas and Supergood sentimental flicks, is what the movie is all about?

How Is Sampoornesh Babu’s Performance?
What Sampoornesh Babu does in Kobbari Matta is the bread and butter of the actor. He does it with all the sincerity and earnestness, which is why the whole thing works in the first place. Most of the outrageous elements are pulled off due to his acting.

Coming specifically to the world record lengthy dialogue, while the efforts are appreciated, it doesn’t look good on screen. It feels as if a non-stop blabbering for three minutes, making no sense frankly. The rest of the stuff is okay for the terrain.

Kobbari Matta Review, Kobbari Matta Movie Review RatingsDirection by Rupak Ronaldson?
Rupak Ronaldson is credited as the director for Kobbari Matta, but most of the behind the scenes work is done by Steven Shankar, who has previously helmed Hrudaya Kaleyam. All the traits of the writer and the director are visible in Kobbari Matta as well.

Let’s put it up front, making wise Kobbari Matta is a disaster. It is akin to a short film on the big screen. Visually, nothing is appealing at all. And yet, what makes one sit through the proceedings overlooking the substandard product is the writing and situation.

The story is alright, which is a mixture of all the pertinent clichés seen in sentimental melodramas involving village and family set up. It is the writing that is excellent and separates the ‘real-deal’ from other imitators. Sampoornesh has tried to do similar stuff but failed, and that is because of the absence of the writing seen here.

Be it Hrudaya Kaleyam or now, Kobbari Matta, the writing seen here is a unique talent that Steven Shankar possesses that can’t be duped. There are hilarious lines and situation within the parody set up that is sure to bring laughs uncontrollably.

The only issue here is the liking to the type of movie. Many simply hate it without giving it any chance, and there are others to whom the cheap production values and the actor himself are an issue. In this case, the judgement of the movie is pre-decided. One can’t help in convincing such folks. However, those few who are open while have a crazy time looking at the craziness on screen.

While there have been other films in between, Kobbari Matta can be compared truly with Hrudaya Kaleyam. Between the two, the latter is clearly better. It has more meat and creativity and genuineness compared to Kobbari Matta. Even screenplay is far more effective compared to what is seen here. Kobbari Matta is held together mostly by the writing only.

Overall, Kobbari Matta does provide the laughs, but it is also a weaker product that relies heavily on one aspect, writing. It is a spoof, parody movie with a low budget and poor making standards. If that is not an issue venture into the cinema hall or else stay away.

Kobbari Matta Review, Kobbari Matta Movie Review RatingsIshika Singh and Others?
Kobbari Matta is ultimately a one-man show. It is Sampoornesh Babu all the way. Apart from him, Shakeela and Kathi Mahesh gets a few moments. Both are fine for the parts that are given to them. Many scenes work not because of the actions they do, but what they say when seen in contrast with their real-life personalities. The contradictions generate fun.

The many various female leads don’t have much to do apart from putting the clichéd expressions. They are done intentionally, and that carries forward the same problems that we see in the originals which they are mocking.

Kobbari Matta Review, Kobbari Matta Movie Review RatingsMusic and Other Departments?
Technically, Kobbari Matta is a disaster, and it can’t be stated enough. It is one aspect Steven Shankar can improve if he wishes to make another attempt in the genre. A spoof doesn’t automatically mean such low brow making.
