srinivas-reddyWhat is Jayammu Nischayammu Raa about?
Sarvam (Srinivas Reddy) believes in spiritual guru Pithaji (Jeeva) more than him and his talent. When Pithaji says that his luck would change if he marries the girl Rani (Poorna), he follows her blindly. How in the course of him following her he realizes his true potential and confidence and finally energies a real winner in his life is the basic story of the film.

How is Srinivas Reddy’s performance?
Srinivas Reddy is earnest and puts in a fine performance. But, unfortunately, that is not enough in this case. This film is fashioned in such a way that the lead has to have a charisma beyond the usual earnestness. Without that charismatic presence, no matter how sincere or earnest the hero is, the required connect goes missing. This is the problem with Srinivas Reddy’s act despite all the sincerity in place. A Rajendra Prasad at his peak is what the film needed.

shiva-raj-kanumuriDirection By Shiva Raj Kanumuri?
Shiva Raj Kanumuri makes a confident debut with the film. His direction panache is visible on screen clearly. While having confidence is good, having it to the extent of overconfidence is never good. And that, in short, is the biggest problem with the film.

The over indulgence on part of the director is the film’s biggest drawback despite it certainly being good. He never knows where to end it. The scenes drag and drag like there is no end to it. It’s as if the director is patting on his back for executing every scene properly and loses the long sight on the actual film.

This over indulgence literally kills the first half of the film. Even the interval doesn’t feel that interesting. Second half in comparison is better as we get into the story and things move at a decent pace. The sequences shown where hero grows into confidence are neatly done. A genuine heartfelt emotion is for sure created between hero and heroine. It lasts for a short while only, though. The climax is again a letdown. It’s tiresome and overstretched.

PoornaPoorna and others?
The film is well cast, right from the mother character to heroine’s father, everyone looks the part whatever maybe the length of their role. This is a great achievement for sure. Now coming to actual performances, everyone has done well in the roles given to them. Poorna is good as a partly confident partly gullible girl. All the staff of the government office played by Krishna Bhagwan, Jogi Brothers and others are good. Praveen is fantastic as a broker who gets the government works done in time.

music-directorMusic and other departments?
Music by Ravi Chandra is strictly functional. Background score is better. The cinematography is good. Editing should have been much tighter. The first half especially should have been trimmed for fifteen minutes at the least.
