What is the film about?
SS Krishna is a medical student by day and a masked vigilante named Jaguar by night. He kills people one by one. What is the reason for his acts? Is there a flashback and what has it got to do with Jaguar, is what the film is all about.

Let’s cut the chase and get to the point upfront, Nikhil Gowda is a terrible performer. He has no expressions and some important scenes are ruined due to his inability to act. Still what makes him effective in the film is the relentless energy that he shows on screen. He can’t act but he puts all his energy into work which shows on screen. Dances are alright. Together this package makes him bearable after a point. As it’s the first film he gets away for giving hundred percent effort. If he doesn’t improve it would very difficult going forward.
Direction By Mahadev?Jaguar Movie Review Directorial Dept
Mahadev has a routine story on hand but with a screenplay that can engage. All he needs to do is execute it well without losing track of emotions and story. In the end one has to say he has executed it well.
The screenplay of the film is its biggest strength. It makes one glued to the seats despite a predictable basic story at hand. Mahadev as said above executes it neatly, with grandness on display from start to the end.
The problem with the film is an expressionless hero trying comedy and romance, it just gets very hard to sit through. It is the main plot involving the Jaguar angle that works. The whole track with the flashback is the heart of the film. The director has narrated these portions convincingly. It also helps that hero hasn’t much to do in these parts.
After a neat interval, the second half begins interestingly but it looses momentum pretty soon. The reason for this is the forceful inclusion of comedy into the narrative. Although it sticks to the story still it feels contrived to watch. The film picks momentum from pre-climax and the finally climax is neatly wrapped up giving a satisfying end. Good screenplay with very little dragging portions are enough to give it a try.
Deepti Sati and others?
Deepti Sati is okay. She has nothing to do in terms of performance which is a plus for film in hindsight. So leaving aside the main lead pair, the rest of the cast in the film all are known faces and they all do their jobs well. Jagapathi Babu as CBI officer looks cool and is enjoying the role. Sampath as media baron is terrific. Rao Ramesh in a brief role leaves a solid impact. Ramya Krishna too has been given one scene to make it count and she does exactly that. Adarsh literally plays parallel lead to the hero and he too is fine. Brahmanandam is alright.Tamannah adds oomph with her item number, the song could have been better though.
Music and other departments?Jaguar Movie Review Technical Dept
Music by SS Thaman is pretty average with no song really standing out. But they have been beautifully shot. Background score too is just about okay. Editing is fine. Cinematography is neat overall. Dialogues are good in parts, especially the one’s given to Rao Ramesh and Sampath.
