What Is the Film About?
Arjun’s dream is to Work for the nation like his father. How he joins and becomes a member of the secret agency and what happens after he becomes a member is what the movie is all about?
How Is Adivi Sesh’s Performance?
Adivi Sesh is a sincere actor with great ambitions. Whatever he does, he puts everything into it. The effort is more when he is part of the project from the scratch. Adavi Sesh does everything that the character requires with diligence and great attention. There is nothing to complain about his side apart from one thing and that is something that either one gets over time or not at all. That is the screen presence. Adavi Sesh lacks in that department which could have elevated the character further. If Kshanam and Goodachari are anything to go by then he better work hard on that aspect.
Direction by Sashi Kiran Tikka?
Shashi Kiran Tikka has done a commendable job considering the budget constraints and other limitation at hand. A great deal of his work was done with the right casting and a solid story and screenplay in hand.
Among the two halves, the first half is better without any doubt. It packs a solid punch and keeps us on edge for the most part. In fact, the anxiety to keep things moving almost takes the narrative to ‘Singam Hari’ levels at times which is counterproductive. There has to be a smoothness in the way the whole thing proceeds otherwise it appeared rushed and runs the risk of losing the interest of audiences with too many things happening simultaneously. For example, the “Nanna” segment of the training could have been much better executed for a better payoff in the second half. There are two other blocks in a similar way where the impact would have been bigger if there was a calm undercurrent in proceedings rather than restless energy.
The second half is weaker compared to the first. It is partly due to the story that runs out of steam and partly again due to the direction that feels rushed. Also, chances are there for few to feel cheated with the ‘twist’ as the build-up has been totally in a wrong direction. It is in this aspect that Kshanam scores over Goodachari as that was more organically developed and everything was placed right before the audience. The climax after the twist is neatly wrapped.
Overall, Goodachari despite its issues is enjoyable. Hollywood watchers could try and guess numerous inspirations, others can enjoy a different outing that hits the mark more than missing.
Sobhita Dhulipala and Others?
The movie is well cast. All important characters are assayed by actors who slip into their roles perfectly. Sobhita Dhulipala is alright playing a psychiatrist cum lover. Supriya making a comeback after decades plays a character that is well designed in the sense that it sets up expectations. Anish Kuruvilla seems to be enjoying his stint as an actor and that is visible in the role. Vennela Kishore gets a different role than usual though there is comedy to do. The veterans Prakash Raj and Jagapapthi Babu enact their parts with conviction like they do regularly.
Music and Other Departments?
Sricharan Pakala has done a fantastic job with the background score that keeps the proceedings pulsating throughout. The songs are used in bits and they also come in the first half only. The cinematography is neat. Editing is fine overall. The action choreography is bad. The idea is right but the execution is not up to the mark. There is too much shake going on to get a feel for the fight happening. The effect is overdone. The writing is good which is another reason for an engaging narrative.
Middle portions of the second half
Watch the same movie made on a big budget. Maybe a Baaghi 3, who knows?

Goodachari US Premier live updates will begin from 4.30 am IST
Once in a while, we come across films that seem to be making only the right kind of buzz and continuing the same until those films come to the theatres near us. ‘Goodachari‘ is certainly one of those films that have been receiving good reviews based on the promo content.
It is considered one of the three potential films that are coming to the Telugu audiences. With ‘Kshanam’, Adivi Sesh has created a special image for himself and the stylish Hollywood kinda look in ‘Goodachari’ and a good intriguing content seems to be in store for the audiences.
Of course, the lead pair had promoted the movie well and did their part adding to the positive buzz generated by the teaser and the nicely cut slick trailer. Especially, the buzz on the social media platforms has created the interest to go and watch the beginning shows of the movie.
It’s getting a bigger release than the other two potential releases ‘Chi La Sow’ and ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’. So, the movie has already won the initial battle and if the word of mouth from the opening shows turns out to be positive, it may have an upper hand over the other two releases.
Besides Adivi Sesh, female lead Sobhita Dhulipala, legendary ANR’s granddaughter Supriya and Prakash Raj caught the attention of the audiences and when Prakash Raj is there in a pivotal role, we expect something really solid. Of course, Sesh was the one who stole the limelight in the promos for the obvious reasons.
Going by the writing skills of Adivi Sesh, audiences are expecting a proper thriller from him, once again. Will ‘Goodachari’ generate a positive talk from the opening shows and survive the other releases that are coming this week and a couple of them which are slated for next week’s release.
