Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Review, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Movie Review RatingsWhat is the film about?
Karthik (Sai Sushanth) has his life set when one day the owner of his club asks him to marry his daughter. Before the engagement, Karthik wants to meet his friends Vivek (Vishwak Sen), Upendra (Venkatesh), and Kaushik (Abhinav). They all plan to gather at a bar and drink out. What happens afterwards is what the film is all about?

How is Vishwak Sen’s performance?
Vishwak Sen is the closest among the gang that could be considered as the lead. He is after all the director. The actor has done a reliable job on his part. The look and overall angst portrayed is alright, but he misses on the vital vulnerability factor that was so needed for the climax to work. Also, on a not entirely unrelated note, Vishwak has played an utterly different character here when we compare to Vellipomake. It shows his range, but he lacks the depth.

Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Review, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Movie Review RatingsDirection By Tharun Bhascker?
Director Tharun Bhascker made a smashing debut with Pellichoopulu. It was received very well, and the most appreciated factor was the writing with in-built subtle comedy. The director has expanded on that humour aspect and retained the buddy’s angle. That’s Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi for you.

The movie has pacing problem and is clearly overindulgent. Tharun Bhascker has lost the plot and failed to provide an engaging conflict that leads to payoff in the end, in his hyper-excitement of writing funny moments. Yes, the film has many moments that are funny, but when those moments don’t lead to a catharsis of any kind, it all feels pointless and hollow.

Taking an example of the films that Tharun Bhascker seems to have drawn upon like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the end has to leave a melancholic feeling. If it is The Hangover variety, the zaniness has to be maintained until the end. In Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, the director tries to straddle on both the horses and loses track.

The all-important climax doesn’t work because the “fear of failure” and “vulnerability” of Vivek doesn’t come across at all. The switch from a comedy to a serious narrative to develop an emotion doesn’t happen. We are left with an empty feeling of eating a dish that has no taste going into an expensive restaurant. Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi is like wine that the character of Karthik describes at the very beginning. Overall, the movie has moments, there is entertainment that will find an audience, but it misses the boat in becoming something more than just about few moments.

Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Review, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Movie Review RatingsSimran Choudhary and others?
Simran Chaudhary has a small part, but she has done it well. It is the same with Anisha Ambrose. However, the impact is lesser. The friend’s gang played Abhinav, Sai Sushant, and Venkatesh is apt for their parts. Abhinav stands out among the four with his comedy timing. Sai Sushanth could have ended up being the hero of the movie, but he fails to live up in the crucial moments. Others don’t register at all.

Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Review, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Movie Review RatingsMusic and other departments?
Music by Vivek Sagar is superb and fits the overall tone of the movie. The background score is also pretty neat. The cinematography is mostly well-done. Editing should have been better as the film feels like it needed some trimming.

Preview: Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi

The buzz around ‘Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi‘ is quite decent and it’s because of only one person and that is the director, Tharun Bhasckaer who scored a blockbuster with his debut movie and coming with his second movie after almost two years.

‘Pelli Choopulu’ went on to collect $1.2 million in the United States in 2016. With his debut turning a blockbuster, the director would have got a star hero but he chose otherwise. Tharun Bhascker is coming with an ensemble of new cast with a promising premise that would work well with the contemporary youth audiences.

Like ‘Pelli Choopulu’, even this is a small budget movie that is backed by Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions, again. Working back-to-back for Suresh Babu’s speaks a lot about the content value. By the way, even his next is said to be under Suresh Productions.

Coming to the audio of the movie, Vivek Sagar has come up with new age music track with refreshing tunes that would work in repeats. They have this unique quality of growing on the audiences after every repeated play. The audio of the movie will definitely a big plus for the movie.

The first thing that generated interest in this movie was Tharun Bhascker, the second Tharun Bhascker and even the third, Tharun Bhascker. Let’s see if the director will break the jink about the second movie being a flop for a debut blockbuster filmmaker.
