What is “Dalam” about?
A naxal group named Dalam lead by Shatruvu [Kishore] and Abhi [Naveen Chandra] surrenders themselves to government for rehabilitation. But things take a huge turn when police official backstabs them and forces them to work as police coverts. In these situations Shruthi [Piaa Bajpai] comes into picture and Abhi falls in love with her. On other side of table Ladda[Abhimanyu Singh] an encounter specialist is appointed to kill Dalam group. What is the love story of Abhi-Shriya ? Did Dalam group got encountered by Ladda? forms the rest of the story.
How is Naveen Chandra?
Post Andala Rakshasi this is Naveen Chandra appearance before audience and he nailed it out hard. Naveen has given brilliant performance and he is not only good in action scenes but also in love track with heroine. If good scripts fall into his pocket then he will give tough competition to other heroes in Tollywood.
How is Jeevan Reddy’s direction?
Even though its Jeevan Reddy debut film it did not appear like its first time director film. Jeevan Reddy dialogues are soul to Dalam movie, his direction is fine, even his taking is nice but he failed to give engaging screenplay especially in second half. But he passed out with flying colors in first half gelling intense naxalism with comedy.
What about Piaa Bajpai,Sai Kumar, and others ?
Piaa Bajpai who was last seen in Backbench student has given an impressive performance and proved that she has acting skills. Kishore who is gem in doing innovative roles like Shatruvu once again gave his best to the role. Sai Kumar is very good in first half but drops out in second half. Abhimanyu Singh, Naga Babu, Ajay, Harshavardhan did justice to their roles
How is Music, Songs, Dances other departments?
Cinematography of Dalam is simply outstanding and slow motion scenes are canned beautifully. Songs sounded OK OK but the background music is fab and added weight to many key scenes in the movie. Editing was not so bad but few scenes can be edited in second half.

Dalam is a perfect blend for intense film with entertainment. It has comedy and mass elements to attract B,C centers at the same time new theme for multiplex audience. A good mouth publicity and aggressive promotion will make this flick collect gold at box office.
