Ravi Teja Bengal Tiger ReviewWhat is the film about?
A common man wants to become a celebrity. How he attains that status and why he wants to become one is what the film is about.

How is Raviteja’s performance?
Ravi Teja is in form as usual. He carries the film with his tremendous energy and comic timing. There is nothing beyond this for him to do. There are some fresh mannerism and its mixed well with his typical quirky style which elevates some of the simplest of scenes. While there are no complaints acting wise, the star isn’t a happy portrait on screen, especially in close ups.

Sampath Nandi Bengal Tiger ReviewDirection By Sampath Nandi?
The long gap seems to have worked to the advantage of director Sampath Nandi. He has made sure that he delivers an entertainer from the word go. This entertainment factor has worked well in the first half which is superb. The problem starts in second half when we get into actual story. In the recent films of Ravi Teja, despite its commercial fate, these flashback portions have been interesting shaping the character, here in Bengal Tiger its very routine one. What follows after is pretty formulaic and sans entertainment, proceedings feel like a drag.

Overall thanks to the star presence of Ravi Teja and the entertainment in first half Bengal Tiger is an easy one time affair. Sampath Nandi’s effort can be seen in screenplay and dialogues which are major plus in the film in spite of the predictability in second half.

Tamannaah Bengal Tiger ReviewTamannaah, Rashi Khanna and other artists?
Rashi Khanna and Tamannah, both are used for the glam quotient and they deliver on it. Apart from them the film consists of three primary characters played by Shayaji Shinde, Rao Ramesh and Boman Irani. While Shayaji does his usual act, Rao Ramesh tries to bring difference with ‘Seema’ accent, it works to a degree. Finally Boman Irani plays the typical villain character which is routine one but watching a new face like him makes the routine palpable. In terms of comedy once again its Prudhvi’s show all the way as a wannabe actor. He is a scream in first half. Posani Krishna Murali is also utilized well. Brahmanandam in the end looks wasted.

There are many other noticeable faces playing small bits and pieces roles like Tanikella Bharani, Nagineedu, Sameer, Surekha Vani, Parvathi etc. they all add to the grand feel of the film but they don’t have much to do performance wise.

Bheems Bengal Tiger ReviewMusic and other departments?
Music by Bheems Cicireleo is decent when seen on screen with the videos. Background score is loud but par for course for a mass entertainer like this. Cinematography is good and so is editing. Choreography of songs is alright. Production values are superb.

Drawbacks Bengal Tiger ReviewAlternative Take
Come to think of it, Bengal Tiger itself feels like an alternative take on a film like Businessman which itself was a different take on revenge theme done to death. By different take, it’s the screenplay that keeps changing but the basic plot remains the same.

Did I enjoy it?
Yes, for most part.

Will you recommend it?
Yes, to all mass movie lovers who haven’t had a mass taste in recent past.
