Nara RohitWhat is the film Balakrishnudu about?
Balu (Nara Rohit) is assigned as bodyguard to protect Aadhya (Regina) from the clutches of Pratap Reddy (Ajay). How Balu successfully manages to save her and also win her love is what the film is all about?

How is Nara Rohit’s performance?
Whenever Nara Rohit had tried to play an active mass hero shirt of character, he had failed. Balakrishnudu is no different. The actor’s attempts to mouth dialogues in various Telugu accents is laudable, but he fails at most of them. There is nothing else to talk about.

Pavan MallelaDirection By Pavan Mallela?
Director Pavan Mallela fails at the story level itself. Still, some films are manageable with weak stories, Balakrishnudu is safely not one among those.

Right from the beginning when Jagapathi Babu begins his voiceover, one is alerted about the wreckage that lies ahead. Things go on the expected lines. The brief relief is provided by the comedy, but even that works up to a point. Barring those comic moments, nothing in both halves excites or engages.

The romantic portions feel out of place. The chemistry between the actors is non-existent. The editing is jerky and abrupt. It makes the narrative jarring. The flow is missing completely despite the being short on story. The comedy feels tackily placed. As if all that was not enough, the climax makes a mockery of everything that happened until that point.

Regina CassandraRegina Cassandra and others?
Regina gets to look like a doll and put on some glamorous revealing outfits. There is one mandatory scene showcasing her dramatic skills. Even with all those, she has no impact whatsoever as there is nothing in the character. More than the last actors, It’s Prudhvi who creates a lasting impression. If not for him many would have walked out of the film post-interval. He also gets repetitive and tired to a point, but still, he is the one savior. Ramya Krishna has a nothing sort of role. It is powerful only in sounding but lacks the action. Srinivas Reddy goes easily over the top in the small amount of time he had. Ajay is adequate. The rest have bland and forgetful parts.

Mani SharmaMusic and other departments?
Music by Mani Sharma is poor, but the background score is better comparatively. The cinematography is bad and so is editing. Dialogues are weak barring few comedy punches.
