What is “Alias Janaki ” about?
Alias Janaki is the story of a honest GHMC employee, Janaki Ram who fights with a local goon, Maisa while the later is trying to grab Lal Nagar lands. Maisa goes on to bribe higher officials in GHMC and Police departments and even burn the entire area. Janaki Ram along with his love, Chaitra (Anisha Ambrose) continuous to fight with them against all odds. Rest is all about how he wins in this battle and what he had to under go during the struggle.
How is Rahul Venkat?
The makers have tried to project Rahul Venkat as one more hero from the mega family but he totally failed to reach the standards set by the family. Forget about the looks, he did not even impress you in acting with his mediocre expressions and poor dialogue delivery. Even his body posture did not look confident and there are rarely an instance in which he looked like a hero material.
How is Daya’s direction?
Daya earlier worked in Pawan Kalyan’s Creative works team and is a hardcore fan of the actor. Sadly his outing met the same fate as his favourite’s debut. But he has only himself to blame for it. The story is a routine one and the screenplay and treatment are very bad. There is hardly any comedy and adding insult to injury, all the characters over do in their poorly written roles with out any purpose.
What about Ambrose, Nagendra Babu, Tanikella Bharani and others ?
Anisha Ambrose looked very pretty on the screen and her performance is okay. The problem is that her character is very poorly etched and the poor girl has very little to do in her first outing.
Tanikella Bharani is okay in the role of a corrupt officer. Naga Babu’s role and performance itself is an insult for the artist of his stature. Sri Ramya is too bad. New actors as villains failed to impress due to bad characterizations.
How is Music, Songs, Dances other departments?
The sole reason for the movie to become even this popular is the wonderful album by Shravan but all of them are wasted on the screen. The back ground music is good. Sujith Sarang’s cinematography is top notch. Spare thought for editor, Sreejith Sarang what should he trim from a 105 minute movie but the irony is that the movie can still be trimmed by a good 20-30 minutes.
