Aata Arrambam Review
What is the film about?
One more anti corruption film with a different take and issue on hand. Here its about the corruption in police department dealing with terrorism.

How is Ajith’s performance?
Ajith has a done a superb job as an actor in the film. He plays to galleries knowing very well its effect in a confident manner. Barring the few too obvious playing to galleries moments where it looks like Ajith is pausing for the camera, the actor is effective throughout.

Aata Arrambam Review
Direction By Vishnu Vardhan?
Vishnu Vardhan is in his elements here. He makes the best use of his hero Ajith understanding his strengths and weaknesses. The first half of the movie is especially racy with very little that is dull. However the director as usual flounders in the second half with predictable and boring narration. If not for the pre climax episode all the good work done in the first half would have been wasted.

Aata Arrambam ReviewHow about Arya, Rana, Nayanatara and the rest of the cast?
Arya is given a character which provides fun in narrative and he does it well. Rana in a brief appearance is alright. Nayanatara gets a good role where she is required to use both her glamorous as well acting side and she manages it well. Tapsee is given a character that perfectly suits her, it makes us think she is putting up a good act but that is far from reality. Kishore as sincere cop is fine. Atul Kulkarni has a short role that does no justice to his talents. Mahesh Manjrekar sleep walks through his character.

Yuvan-shankarMusic and other departments?
Yuvan Shankar Raja generally comes up with at least one good number in his films but here that is not the case as none of the songs create an impact. Even the background score generally a strong point of the music director is lacklustre here. Cinematography by Om Prakash is good. Editing is a mixed bag from Srikar Prasad. It’s mostly sharp but at times it is messy.

Aata Arrambam ReviewWhat about its box office prospects?
The film despite its second half problem is an entertaining one and should find takers sooner or later. The problem though is that there is no time for latter in current times as new films keep on coming every week that instantly makes this a old affair. Looking at the reception of the film, the film looks more likely to give its distributors small profit even if it doesn’t reach a hit status.
