Tests your Patience Levels
What Is the Film About?
ACP Satya (Satyadev) is suspended and is also grief-stricken following the death of his wife, Paddu (Roshini Prakash). However, he finds a connection between Paddu’s case and another case of a Pharma company owner and he starts to dig deeper, the case leads to a drug cartel. The rest is all about how Paddu and the Pharma Owner fits into this mess.
How Is Satyadev’s Performance?
Satyadev does well in a poorly written role. He tried his level best to breathe life into the character but fails. Also, it gives a feeling that his character is similar to some of his recent films. Probably, that is because the movie is completed a long ago and is lying in cans.
Direction by Pradeep Maddali?
Pradeep Maddali, the newbie comes from the school of Puri Jagannadh. Except for his Puri Bhakti and the voiceover, Pradeep failed to emulate his Guru. Right from the title, it gives us a feeling that Pradeep is trying something that is happening to showcase as something thrilling and suspenseful.
The story shows some promise on the surface but the execution is so bad. The movie despite a little over 100 minutes bores you right from the start to the end. The first half of the movie barely has anything interesting. By the time of intermission, the audience will be already exhausted.
The second half starts on a similar note as ACP Satyadev tries to put together the bits and pieces to solve the case. Every move of his is predictable and the so-called twists towards the end are even worse. Remember if this is the case of a Digital watch, things can really bad in a theater.
Roshini Prakash and Others?
Roshini Prakash and Pooja Jhaveri were good looking and put in honest attempts to perform but nothing has worked. Roshini’s character is rushed probably to take care of the runtime and whatever portions are left are mostly insipid. Pooja Jhaveri’s character was supposed to be the story-turner but it barely helps the story or the actress herself. Srikanth Iyengar does well especially towards the end even though the character shade is something he did not attempt earlier. Ravi Varma is okay and Hari Teja is wasted.
Music and Other Departments?
Raghu Kunche tried his best to keep the movie floating with his music. He tried a fusion of Hindi and English lyrics here and there. But the music does not gel into the story which is not happening. There are a couple of songs that did not work much. The cinematography is okay. The editing fails to impress despite the crisp runtime of around 100 minutes.
Maybe Satyadev’s Performance
Several Boring Scenes
Lack of Thrill or Suspense Whatever
47 Days is such an attempt where nothing works. If a film fails to work even for a Digital Watch and that too at a runtime of just 100+ minutes, it is very hard to sell it. The alternate take is to search for better murder mysteries on the same OTT platform.
