Women and Child Welfare Minister Taneti Vanitha’s Convoy hit a man in Bheemadolu, West Godavari District this morning and he is killed on the spot. One of the vehicles in the Minister’s convoy hit a man named Venkata Ramaiah who is riding a motorcycle from behind.
He lost his balance and the Innova car in which the minister is traveling also hit him. He sustained severe injuries and passed away on the spot. The Minister also sustained minor injuries. Police reached the spot and sent the Minister away safely.
The onlookers said that the rash driving of the vehicles in the Minister’s convoy is the reason for this accident and could have been easily avoided. As a result, Sankranthi has become tragic for a family, they add. The victim is reportedly from Bhimavaram.
The Local Police have registered a case and are investigating the details.
