In the opposition, YSR Congress always alleged that there are no investments and jobs during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime but the Government is wasting money in the name of Partnership Summits. In an election meeting, the then Opposition Leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy mocked Chandrababu saying that no one will invest in AP seeing Chandrababu’s face.
But then, now in Power, YSR Congress seems to have overridden its own allegation. For a question in the Assembly, Industries Minister Gautham Reddy went on to say that there were 1182 MOUs signed in the Partnership Summits conducted during the previous Government.
Out of this, 309 industries were grounded and started production. From this 309 industries, the state has got 1.39 Lakh Crores of investments and 1.54 Lakh Jobs. The Minister also added that for conducting the Partnership Summits in 2016, 2017, and 2018, the State Government spent just 108 Crore.
This is nothing when compared to the returns the state has got. TDP supporters are ruing the fact that they could not showcase these facts when they are in power.
