Back in 2014 elections, YSR Congress surprised everybody by fielding a stranger from Telangana as Chittoor MP. Samanya Kiran, wife of a West Bengal cadre IAS officer Kiran, has been named the YSRC candidate.
She joined the party in December 2013, is party’s coordinator of Madhira Assembly constituency in Khammam district. She was pitching for the Madhira seat but shunted to Chittoor by the YSRC supremo. Later she lost the election and disappeared.
A few days ago, Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on her husband. He is reportedly involved in 200 Crore scam of New Jalpaiguri Development authority and ED will charge sheet him by next week. During the interrogation, it was found that the contractors had paid 6 Crore to YSR Congress
That will explain how a Telangana lady managed to get Chittoor MP seat out of nowhere. However, this will now create new problems for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who is already in ED net will be in more trouble now with this new allegation. He might be made an accused in that case as well.
