Telangana YSR Congress President Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the party will be contesting alone in the upcoming Warangal by-election. The party was severely battered in the new state after it took the Samayikya Andhra stand.
Its effect almost got normalized in Telangana except for few seats in settlers majority Khammam district. But Jagan did not leave out hopes on the state and made his sister Sharmila toured few districts in the name of Paramarsa Yatra.
The party hopes that the image of Late YSR will help it especially after the Telangana issue is solved. On the other side, the ruling party is happy with all opposition parties contesting independently as the anti-government vote will split between them.
