The Main Opposition party of Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress seems to be in a financial crunch. The party has decided to vacate its headquarters in Road No.45, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad and move to its President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s residence in Lotus Pond. Following the defeat in the recent elections, the party has decided to cut down the administrative and maintenance expenses. This move will save them 1 Crore a month.
An unused building in the lotus pond will be used as the office now. The party is almost empty in Telangana and is planning to start a new head quarters in Vijayawada very soon. So, this cutting down expense in Telangana will mean that shutting shop in Telangana with nominal presence. It is also said that funds have dried up for YSR Congress following the recent defeat. The party leadership had decided to save as much money as possible for upcoming bielections.
