Opposition Leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy already started its preparation for 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. The party is keen on fielding celebrities and popular personalities for Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Narasaraopet, Ongole and Machilipatnam seats.
Incidentally, many of these candidates are yet to join the party. YSR Congress is keen on roping in Potluri Vara Prasad (PVP) for Vijayawada Lok Sabha segment, Lagadapati Rajagopal for Narasaraopet, Daggubati Purandeswari for Ongole, Vangaveeti Radha for Machilipatnam, and Undavalli Arun Kumar for Rajahmundry. PVP, Lagadapati, and Daggubati are yet to join YSR Congress.
Undavalli on the other side is not keen on contesting direct elections. PVP wanted TDP ticket for Vijayawada Parliamentary Position in the last elections and even got recommended by Pawan Kalyan. But then, Naidu did not budge and PVP was silent politically since then.
Vangaveeti Radha on the other side is struggling to win as an MLA and so is in a dilemma as to whether to contest from Machilipatnam Lok Sabha segment. Radha is keen on contesting as MLA for Vijayawada central Assembly segment. If these leaders join the party, it will be a big boost for the party, Jagan believes.
