The Popular opinion in the State is the Government’s harrassment has led to the suicide of Former Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker, Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. Ruling YSR Congress Party is trying hard to move away from this and trying to paint the Telugu Desam Party as the villain in this episode.
While TDP is alleging that the Government has harrassed Kodela with 19 cases, YSR Congress says that there are only Two cases registered on the former Speaker and TDP is lying. “There are only two cases on Kodela and the remaining cases are on his son and daughter only,” the ruling party leaders say.
This is a hilarious explanation as if a father will not be worried about the cases filed on his children. Meanwhile, the family members of Kodela have refused the final rites of the former Speaker with full state honors. “We can not accept state honors while it was the government that abetted the suicide,” the family members opined.
Kodela’s daughter, Vijaya Lakshmi even filed a case alleging the Government’s role in her father’s death.
