YSR Congress Finally Opens Account in MLC ElectionsThe main opposition party in Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress which was shellshocked with the loss of Kadapa MLC seat finally managed to get some respite by winning Rayalaseema West MLC Seat in Graduates Quota. YSR Congress Candidate, V Gopalreddy won over TDP Candidate KJ Reddy.

Three MLC Seats in Local Bodies Quota went to TDP while Communists managed Two seats in Teachers Quota and One in Graduates Quota. Uttarandhra Graduates MLC Seat went to TDP and BJP Combine Candidate PV Madhav.

With these elections including the unanimous seats, TDP will be increasing its strength in the council very much. The party will get two more seats in Governor’s Quota. On the other side, Congress will be wiped out of the Council later this year.
