There are always allegations of TRS and YSR Congress enjoying good terms even before the elections. Both Jagan and KCR never criticized each other and TRS never tried to disrupt Jagan or Sharmila’s yatras in Telangana. Even after the polling in the last elections, KCR announced that Jagan is winning in Seema Andhra in thumping majority.
And now, in the MLC elections that will take place tomorrow, YSR Congress extended its support to the ruling party. The party announced that they do not like to support TDP and Congress candidates and so are supporting TRS candidate in the election. In such case, YSRCP can abstain from the election but it did not chose the option, to help the ruling party.
Even though TRS have strength to win only four MLC seats, it had fielded five candidates ensuring elections. In order to win the fifth seat, the ruling party is trying all the tricks in the trade including buying out other party MLAs.
