Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy earlier this week completed his 368 Kilometers of Praja Sankalpa Padayatra. He is amid the people for around one and half year and this Padayatra has got the much-needed limelight for the Opposition Party. Jagan finishing his Padayatra reached his Lotus Pond Residence in Hyderabad.
And suddenly, there is no buzz about the party in the people. This has been a problem for YSR Congress since the start. The party is active only when Jagan is on roads and the moment he stays indoors, all the buzz goes silent. Jagan can blame himself as well for this situation. He has this habit of staying away from the media.
Most of the times, he is not accessible even to his own Sakshi media. The whole responsibility of the party then falls on the Sakshi Media which could not penetrate into the neutral people. The second rung leaders could not afford the huge expense involved in hitting the ground given that they are in the Opposition.
We are just three months away from the Assembly Elections and YSR Congress could not afford this at this crucial juncture. The party firmly believes that it has lost the 2014 elections in the last six months and it can not afford to commit a similar mistake once again.
