YS-Vivekananda-Reddy-Case-Supreme-CourtTulasamma, wife of Shiva Shankar Reddy, one of the accused in YS Vivekananda Reddy’s case approached the Supreme Court alleging that the CBI investigation is not progressing properly.

Supreme Court was serious about the delay in the investigation. It asked the investigation agency to submit a report on the progress of the case. Also, questioned CBI director why the investigation officer should not be changed.

The investigation officer of this case is Ram Singh. He is known to be an upright officer and there are many instances so far the accused in this case made adverse comments on him indicating that he is not yielding.

Supreme Court changing the investigation officer at this stage due to the delay in the investigation will ensure that the accused gets what they wanted.

The apex court should understand the CBI is up against the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh.

We have seen the investigation teams facing threats and even cases. So, the delay is understandable.

With the questioning of Avinash Reddy in this case, it looks like the case has entered a crucial stage. Changing the investigation officer at this stage is risky.

The CBI, hopefully, will explain to the court this and will ensure status quo.
