YS Jagan Padayatra Facing the Heat in BastionYS Jagan Mohan Reddy had finished Seven Days Padayatra with a day break in between. He started the 3000 Kilometers Padayatra in his home district, Kadapa which is considered a bastion for YSR Congress but then things are not so rosy there.

The group fights between the leaders is clearly evident in the Padayatra and in the presence of Jagan himself. Some leaders including Prodattur MLA Rachamallu Siva Prasad Reddy and Mydukuru MLA Raghu Rama Reddy directly dictated terms to the party and expressed their displeasure on Jagan in public.

Jagan who is usually very aggressive in dealing with such issues tried to be diplomatic this time. If this is the case, it will be a threat to the party’s winning chances in the upcoming Assembly elections, the party leaders feel.

If this is the case with Kadapa, things will be even worse in the other districts where the party is weak. However, an MP close to Jagan rejected that. “Such Minor Things do happen when we are in Opposition and running against the tide. Everything will be solved in the run-up to 2019 election,” he said.
