YS_Jagan_Mohan_ReddyAndhra Pradesh will host a Global Investors Conference in Vishakapatnam very soon.

The other day, the officials informed Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy about it at a review meeting.

This will be the first Investor conference in Andhra Pradesh after Jagan came into power.

During the previous Chandrababu Naidu regime, AP Government used to have a Partnership Summit every year in Vishakapatnam.

Back then, Jagan Mohan Reddy used to be a bitter critic of such summits and used to say they are of no use.

In 2018, a day before the Partnership Summit, Jagan called for an agitation against the Special Status.

He did not back out even though the state government appealed that protests before international investors will taint the image of the state among the investors.

Hopefully, some sense of responsibility will prevail and the conference will bring something to Andhra Pradesh.

However, this looks like an image-building exercise for 2024.
