YSRCP, YS Jagan YSRCP MPs, YSRCP MPs Resignation, YSRCP Lok Sabha MPs Resignation, YSRCP MPs Mass Resignation, YSRCP Six MPs ResignationYS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his YSR Congress Party seem to have pinned high hopes on the Special status issue to garner the attention of the people and win them. Jagan is aggressively pushing the issue into people with the hope that it will help the party in the upcoming local elections. After a series of Yuvabheris, Jagan also conducted a hangout with NRIs on the issue the other day.

On this occasion, Jagan revealed that he is planning to get his MPs resigned and go for a fresh election to seek people’s mandate on the Special Status issue. Jagan went on to say people’s mandate will be a lesson for both the state and central governments. This will be a huge risk for the party however as any negative result will defeat the actual purpose and also YSR Congress Political significance.

Jagan Mohan Reddy did not reveal when that is going to happen but said he will unleash the ‘Brahmastra’ at the right time. YSR Congress had managed to win eight MPs in 2014 elections and one in Telangana. The Two of the Andhra MPs – Kothapalli Geetha (Araku) and SPY Reddy (Kurnool) have quit the party immediately after the election. That leaves YSR Congress with Six MPs effectively.

Facing a by-election when in opposition is a really risky job for the MPs. Further, if they have lost the election, they will lose good 2.5 years term and also a lot of money which they had to pour into the election. So, it has to be seen how YSR Congress MPs react to this. But Jagan seems to be going for the kill to get the much-needed momentum to the party.
