YS Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu in Reversed Roles as 15th Assembly Sits DownThe First Session of the 15th Assembly of Andhra Pradesh began a little while ago in Velagapudi. Protem Speaker Sambangi Venkata Appalanaidu oversaw the Swearing-in ceremony of the new MLA. Leader of the House, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is the first to take the oath while the Leader of Opposition, Chandrababu Naidu took oath after him.

Rest of the MLAs were also sworn-in as per the Alphabetical Order. The Speaker will be elected tomorrow. Tammineni Sitaram is likely to be elected unopposed. Governor ESL Narasimhan will address the house on Friday. No one sat beside Jagan while Deputy Leader, Achchennaidu was seated beside Chandrababu.

Needless to say, Jagan Mohan Reddy is beaming with joy while Chandrababu Naidu looked serious. YSR Congress has boycotted the house for around Two years alleging Speaker’s inaction against the defections and finally, Jagan has entered the Assembly as the Chief Minister.

The party has cruised to Power in the recent elections with a sensational victory winning 151 out of the total 175 seats in the Assembly. TDP managed to get the Opposition Status by winning a mere 23 seats.
