MP Avinash ReddyRuthuragalu is a famous soap opera on Doordarshan in the 1990s. The serial ran for around 500 episodes and for three years in those days. It is the first of such soap operas which ran forever.

MP Avinash Reddy and the CBI saga is also resembling the same. Avinash attended the CBI investigation five times already and there is incriminating evidence against him in this case.

There are clear indications that arrest is on the cards especially after his father Bhaskar Reddy was arrested already.

But then, this has become an endless soap opera. Avinash Reddy is trying to hoodwink the CBI by skipping the questioning in the name of anticipatory bail petitions, and many silly reasons.

It is very clear that he is evading arrest and is not cooperating with the CBI.

We have seen the CBI rejecting his request for new dates but in the end, doing nothing

The investigative agency is going on giving new dates. The other day, he skipped the investigation saying his mother is unwell and now, the CBI has given a new date to attend on May 22nd.

Every time Avinash Reddy defies the CBI, the media gets on its toes sensing a possibility of an arrest but again nothing happens.

Giving a feeling that it is an unending soap opera. The CBI is sending wrong signals to the general public that the law is different for the rich and the privileged.
