YSR CongressEenadu published a story that YSR Congress leaders are trying to get land worth about Rs 80 crore belonging to Srikalahasti Devasthanam. They are putting a lot of pressure on the authorities to give a report stating that they are private lands.

4.03 acres of land in Survey No. 292 of Srikalahasti were gifted to the temple in 1931 by Ramanathan Chettiar and Arunachalam Chettiar. The intention of the donors is to establish Nandana Vanam here.

As the town expanded and the number of devotees gradually increased, this land became crucial for commercial needs.

Large-scale hotels have already sprung up in the vicinity. Due to this, some private people are claiming this land as their own. And they have approached the leaders of the ruling party to settle the issue in their favor.

Previously, in 1990, 2012, and 2017, some people approached the court making claims they own the lands but the court struck down those pleas. Now, the YSRCP leaders are pressurizing the officials to do the work in their favor.
