yadadri-temple-city-construction-renovation-land-acquisitionThe Yadadri Temple Development Authority has embarked on a mission to renovate the popular Yadagiri Gutta shrine and develop it as a temple city on par with the hill shrines of Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh and Palani in Tamil Nadu. The government has set the target of Dussehra completion for the renovation works.

But then officials say the work is expected to be completed before the deadline of next Dasara, and the sanctum sanctorum will be functional from Vijayadasami in 2017. The work will begin to change the hill structure will be changed as per the Agama Shastra, and Mada streets will be developed on the four sides.

The entire project will need about 1800 acres land for which land acquisition is underway. Altogether 258 acres will be developed in the first phase and this phase is expected to cost Rs 800 crore. Cottages are being developed in PPP mode at the neighboring hill, Peddagutta, on 850 acres of land.
