Who Will Bear the Loss Due to Capital Shift? High Court AsksAndhra Pradesh High Court had heard one of the petitions pertaining to the Capital Change. A lawyer has shown a record of 52,000 Crore spent on various works in Amaravati and brought to the notice of the court that everything will be lost now.

“The money spent is that of people’s. This is a big loss to the state exchequer. Who will bear the loss?” the court opined. The court also asked a series of questions to the Government – How many buildings are completed? What is the status of various constructions? What are the expenses to date? What are the pending dues to the contractors? etc.

The court asked the Government to file an affidavit regarding the same. The court also opined that several buildings that are in various stages of completion will get dilapidated in case they are not put to use. The next hearing of the case is posted to August 14th.

It is also known to our readers that the Central Government filed an affidavit saying that the Capital change is completely a state issue and it is no way related to it.
