The temple has lost the income of 400 Crore due to the Lockdown and had spent around 300 Crore towards salaries, pensions, and other fixed expenses during the Lockdown.

The Temple Board is keen on tiding over the crisis without touching the eight tons of gold reserves and 10,000 Crore Rupees which are as Fixed Deposits in various banks. The Temple was in news the last week of issuing pink slips to some contract employees.

TTD is closed for the Public for more than 50 days. This is the highest number of days closed in the history of the Temple. It is not clear when the Temple will be opened to the public. The Temple spends nearly 2,500 Crore per year under various heads while it earns 200-250 Crore every month.

There has been near to Zero revenue for the temple ever since the Lockdown.
