With Signs of Anti-incumbency, KCR To Change His Team?

Reports are emerging that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is going for a cabinet reshuffle the next month. There are enough hints about anti-incumbency in the state and the Chief Minister is keen on making amends to that with the cabinet reshuffle.

legislative council chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, former MP Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Jadcherla MLA C Laxma Reddy, Khanapur MLA Rekha Naik, Hanamkonda MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, Chennur MLA Balka Suman, and Achampet MLA Guvvala Balaraju are hoping for a berth in this shuffle.

There is a strong buzz KCR may take his daughter Kavitha also into the cabinet. She was recently elected as an MLC. But then, such a move may invite criticism as two family members of KCR – KTR and Harish Rao are already in the cabinet. Former PM PV Narasimha Rao’s daughter, Surabhi Vani Devi who is recently elected as an MLC may also end up in the cabinet as a surprise pick.

In the previous shuffle, KCR inducted six ministers into the cabinet in September 2019.
