The other day, Andhra Pradesh Assembly Privileges Committee had issued notices to Twelve YSR Congress MLA for their poor conduct in the house in the recent Assembly session. They are asked to appear before the committee on 25th and 26th of this month and explain the reason for their poor behaviour in the house.
As soon as the notices were out, YSR Congress had started politics over it. They started alleging that the state government is trying to suppress their voice in the fight for the Special Status. The Party even went on to say that they will not stop their fight even if all its MLAs are suspended from the house in the fight for Andhra rights.
But then this seems to be nothing but at an attempt of outdated and cheap politics. The MLAs have got notices for their poor conduct and not for the Special Status. These MLAs have torn the constitution books and threw the papers on the Speaker. Some of them even snatched the Speakers mike while standing on the tables of Assembly Employees.
A few MLAs even attacked the marshalls who prevented them going to the Speaker. Assembly Secretary Satyanarayana complained to the Speaker that some of them put a wire around his neck and dragged. YSR Congress will have no answer if the people ask how their actions in Assembly will get Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. And at the same time, the party did not put any show in the Parliament on the issue. Gone are the days, people will get convinced with any such act but people are growing politically cautious these days and are not encouraging such poor conduct. It’s high time YSR Congress revise its strategy.
