YS-Jagan-with-old-people

As Seema Andhra is all set to go to its first ever polls after state bifurcation, YSR Congress – one of the prime contenders in the fray have pinned high hopes on the Christian and Muslim votes to bring them to power. Both these religions constitute about 10% of Seema Andhra population. As YSR’s family is converted to Christianity several years ago, Christians identify themselves with YSR Congress and is more favourable to them.

Some of the sops given during YSR’s rule have always made Muslims favourable to Congress party. But with that party heading towards a washout, Muslims are looking at Jagan Reddy’s party. The alliance between Telugu Desam Party and Bharatiya Janta Party also tilted Muslims more towards their camp. Minorities will have to play a decisive role if YSR Congress had to stand a chance this elections!
