Telangana Elections are done and dusted. Telangana Rashtra Samiti returns to Power with a Sensational 88 Seats Tally while the Mahakutami Parties just got 21. Congress, the Principal Opposition landed up with 19 while TDP got just Two. Other parties – Telangana Jana Samiti and CPI could not even open their account.
TJS and CPI even though proved to be ineffective are trying to push the blame on the bullying tactics of Congress for their loss. A section of Congress feels that an alliance with TDP cost them big even though the party could not explain why even its bigwigs were washed away in this election.
Before the Opposition can even come out of the shock, TRS is pushing for the Panchayat Elections. It has to be seen if these parties will contest independently or take the idea of Mahakutami forward. If they contest independently, it is going to be an easy walkover for TRS. But then, the parties could not stick on the concept after having blamed the alliance due to their poor performance.
