BJP few months ago planned a series of Public meetings in all parts of Andhra Pradesh to strengthen from grass root level. The first such meeting happened in Rajahmundry for which BJP President Amit Shah and other Union Ministers attended. BJP is of the opinion that the meeting is a huge success and wants a second meeting in Kadapa.
Kadapa district is considered as a bastion of YSR Congress. The party feels it will be convenient place for all the four districts of Rayalaseema BJP workers to attend. A final decision on this will be taken in the next AP BJP core committee meeting. The meeting will also decide the dates of the meeting.
The meeting will happen after June Second week and is intended to take in to people the quantum of help, BJP is extending to the truncated state. BJP and the Central government have come under severe criticism after the Center clarified that Andhra Pradesh do not need Special Status after promising it for 10 years in the last elections.
