KCR_JaganThe Chief Ministers of both the Telugu states have met each other the other day in Pragathi Bhavan, Hyderabad. Newspapers have reported that Telangana Chief Minister KCR had appreciated the Reverse Tendering of Polavaram by Jagan Government which resulted in saving of around 800 Crore.

But then, the Reverse Tendering has become the favorite of Telangana Opposition as well. Opposition Leader, Bhatti Vikramarka lauded the Reverse Tendering taken up by Jagan Government and demanded that the Telangana Government should implement the same in the State. “We can easily save around 34,000 Crores in all projects, Bhatti said.

Interestingly, Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) which bagged the Polavaram Project in Reverse Tendering is taking up the major irrigation Projects across the Telangana. MEIL is also the contractor of KCR’s Pet Schemes – Mission Bhageeratha and Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Congress says that Megha is charging more money for Telangana Projects when compared to the same works in Polavaram.
