Telugu Desam Party had registered its worst ever tally of just 23 MLA Seats and 3 MP seats in the recent elections. Many have started spelling doom for the party and the debate about the party leadership started already. Lokesh’s defeat in Mangalagiri opened the Pandora Box.
Even as Chandrababu Naidu is more fit than the majority of politicians, the debate just would not stop. A section of TDP who always batted NTR to take the reins have increased their voice and surprisingly, they are getting support from YSR Congress and BJP. However, this seems to be a trap.
People of Andhra Pradesh have shown that they do not care for film glamour with the defeats of Praja Rajyam Party and Janasena. So, the idea is to bring a division in the party in the name of the leadership debate. The more the party is divided, the easier it is to break it, especially in the Opposition.
NTR should be wary of these intentions and also the expectations of the people when a film actor comes into politics. They demand 100% commitment without any other deviations. Junior is just 30 and has so much of the future in films. It is doubtable if he will leave that behind and test his luck in Politics. So, it is better that he is not carried away.
