During his campaign in Nandhyal By-Election, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that he will be giving the sole MLC seat the party gets the next year to a Minority leader from the constituency. Jagan announced that he will give the seat to minorities irrespective of YSRCP result in Nandhyal.
Now the big question is that will Jagan keep his promise. There are numerous aspirants in YSR Congress for the seat they will be getting. Minorities have voted en masse to TDP’s candidate in the by-election. They are previously a strong vote base of YSR Congress.
YSR Congress supporters say the seat should go to minorities so that they can be pleased. On the other side, TDP is making its Senior Minority Leader, NMD Farooq as the Chairman of Council. Chandrababu is already a step ahead in that.
